I thought I taught them better than that.

Saying Good Bye to 2009

Well it's been a really long time since we've updated anything on here. Sorry we are slacking.
Well where to start?? That is the question.

Rob is still employed at Westroc although he's not working much right now. Dang winter weather anyway. Welcome to Utah winters. He is still working as a part timer at the Wee Blu Inn in Payson when they need him for crowd control.

Janna is still working for the Nebo School District and part time at the Wee Blu Inn in Payson. She also decided to go back to school and hopes to finally decide what she wants to be IF she grows up :D
She should be done with her Associates in Medical Specialties in March of 2011

J'son has had a very eventful year. He went to football camp in June and just before coming home he was injured. We took him into see the doctor and found out that he had torn his A.C.L and would need surgery.
Not exactly how he had planned on spending his senior year.
Well he decided to have the surgery but, not before baseball season was over. He's the catcher on their team and they had made the state playoffs.
They took 1st place!

He had the surgery on July 27th and was told that he'd be out for the whole football season but that he should be able to wrestle in January. That gave him something to look forward while he focused on his recovery and therapy, he stayed very involved with the football team and did what he could to
support the team that he was a part of.
In November he was still having some problems with it so we took him back to see the surgeon to see what the problem was. They examined it and determined that it had torn again so what to do know?
He once again decided to have the surgery but, not before he finished his drivers ed classes. He had been so busy with sports that at 17 he still didn't have his license. So he finished his classes and then went in for surgery again December 11th. This has taken him out of wrestling and also being able to try out for the high school baseball team.
Poor kid. He is doing a little better he has started his therapy sessions again and is hoping to be able to play city league baseball but, the doctor said this time he is a minimum of 6 months before he can do anything. So we'll see how it goes.

J'son will graduate in May as a Salem Hills Skyhawk class of 2010

So Gregory is a freshman this year. Wow our little boy is growing up fast :)

He turned 14 in April and he decided that once again he'd like to play baseball. His team made it to the state playoffs as well. They didn't win this year but, there's always next year! We had a very rainy spring this year and a few of the games got rained out but, boys will be boys and always find
ways to have fun on the field.

Gregory decided to try out the wrestling team this year he did really well for about 3 days. He decided that it was really hard and that he didn't really like it very much. So he decided to support the team from the
stands with the rest of us.

He will be a sophomore at Salem Hills in the fall. He is really looking
forward to high school.

So now what are we doing?

Well as I'm sure you all know it's baseball season!!
So this year Rob decided to take up Softball 2 times a week. So with his 4 games, J'sons 2 games and Gregs 2 games it keeps us pretty busy.
If that's not enough the Priest quorum decided to invite the Teachers quorum to go on their High Adventure Trip with them. So since the Priests were able to get their scuba diving certifications done they wanted the teachers to do it also.
So now Greg's working on getting his certification as well. Rob re-did his when J'son did his so they are both all ready to go! They are going to Flaming Gorge the end of June for 4 days.
They are really excited about it to. As am I!! I will have the house to just me and the dogs! :)
If that's not enough to keep us busy it's lifting time for the football team so J'son is going 4 days a week to lift with his team and part of the time he brings some of the team home with him and they cook breakfast!
Never a dull moment around here.

In a nutshell.....

OK so things have been a little crazy around here since I last updated....

We've had Gregory's birthday Party! He turned 14!!

Look at all his family and friends that gathered around to celebrate his special day

He loves getting presents! Of course. What kid doesn't?

He got alot of nice things. Thanks Everybody!

It was a good day!! We love being surrounded by our family and friends and always miss the ones that are unable to be with us!

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Then there was a day spent with family and friends at Salem Pond for Memorial Day!!
Any excuse to get together and have food and fun....
We had a really good time with everyone that came.
Rob, J'son, Greg, & I,
Moe, Chey, Mom,
Aaron (Hatch), Abbey, Misty,
Eryn (Tink), Ari, Caleb, Holden
Kenny, Phil, Breanna
& Sasha of course
The weather was absolutely beautiful! We had a BBQ, played in the pond,
and made memories that'll last a lifetime.
J'son had a blast trying to get Moe, Kenny, Hatch and Tink into the pond.
Moe took some of the fun out of it. She went in and sat down without too much of a fight.
She got sand burn on her leg.
Poor Tink she's the one that went in with her phone in her pocket!
J'son and Phil decided it would be fun to run and jump off a perfectly good dock!
Dumb teenagers anyway. They had a really good time.
Wishing you all a Happy Easter
Today we spent time together with our extended family enjoying a spring outing. We were invited to go 4-wheeling with Kevin, Micki, Kagan, Taysin & Moe.
We went out on the west side of Payson by the dump to ride.
We found a much to enticing mud hole and had a blast!
When we were all done we went home cleaned up and went to Grandma "B"'s for Ham dinner.
:) YUM, YUM :)
Kim, Jimmy & Gracie came and we played card games and visited.
It was alot of fun and we are reminded how truly blessed we are to have family and friends living close and being able to spend holidays with them.
We missed Jody & Aleshas Family. We hope that they had a nice holiday as well.
We love and Miss You guys!
Today just wasn't the same without you all here.
J'son and Breanna flowers
Can you find the cute dragon fly and the little silver flower?
Thanks Miriam they are Beautiful as always.
This is Breanna Norris she is a "Spanish Fork Don"
but, we don't hold that against her she didn't decide where her parents would have them live.
LOL!!! We love her, she's incredible and she's great to J'son.
Now that the flowers are all in place.
The Cute Couples trying to leave for dinner. They are pictured out.
This is Phillip Sorensen and his date Sierra Poulsen.
And for Gregory...
He is getting ready for the 2009 Baseball Season to begin. Last year his team went on to win the State championship he is hoping to add this years title to his "Wall of Fame"
He is getting ready for his birthday next month and gearing his gift wish list towards things he wants and needs for this season.
He was just sustained as the 2nd counselor in the Deacons Quorum. I hope they have someone in mind for the position next month as he will turn 14 on the 24th of April and then on to the Teachers Quorum.
He decided after watching his brother wrestle this past season that he thinks he is going to try it next year.
Good Luck Greg you can do anything that you put your mind to...
What's new this time........
Well let's see where did we leave off???
Oh yeah well J'son decided once again to surprise us with his interest in trying new things. So he decided to take up track this year. He went in saying that he was just going to throw. "I'm not fast enough" he said and "I can't run with the little guys!" well he tried trowing the shot and now he says that "throwing is DUMB!" So he is running the 100 meter and trying his luck out on the 200 meter and he says he might even try the 4 X 100 meter relay. WOW wonders never seize with this kid. Oh yeah and while he's at it he decided to do the long jump!
What a kid....
So now he is making himself a part of yet another team sport for his long list of
"Things to try my Jr year"
Part of his track buddies:
Reece Knudeson, J'son McDaniel, Phil Sorensen,
Craig Findlay, Cody Barlow & Derek Sorensen
All the way to State!!!!!
"Watch that take down J'son"
Way to go Skyhawks!
We are so excited. This past weekend was Region 8 Tournament. We went to Juan Diego Catholic High School and did gr8. We have 9 wrestlers going to State. Not bad for a first year school with a first year team. We think so anyway.
"Come on almost there"
Way to go J'son! He placed 8th and is headed to State this wekend at UVU in Orem. We are so excited for him and the whole team.
"Hold him, you got him!"
Way to go Gregory!!!
Gregory got his cell phone :) He is so excited.
He wasn't suppose to get it until his birthday. We had told him that J'son didn't get his until he was 14 so we wouldn't get his until he was 14.
Well his birthday is in April but when he brought home his report card with a 3.25 GPA we decided that he could have it a little earlier.
Keep up the good work!
Sorry it's been a while....
Ok so we've been a little busy as of late. J'son decided to take up wrestling this year so well it's kept us a little tied up. We wouldn't change it for anything. He made the Varsity team his first year and is just now preparing to go to Region Finals tomorrow. He weighs in at 171 pounds and is having a blast.
J'son against Juan Diego
When he's not taking down his opponents, he's wrestling with one wrestling buddy or another. He has made some great new friends and we are enjoying getting to know them.
J'son and Phil Sorensen
It sure has been alot of fun. Their team is brand new this year as they are the First year in the new Salem Hills High School. So it has been quite an adventure. We have had tournaments from as far North as Smithfield and as far South as St. George. They are ranked 2nd for region only behind Delta. We have numerous guys that have gone undefeated in tournaments and have 3 currently ranked for State. Not bad for a first year team :)
GO SKYHAWKS!!!!
